Identity design for the Scandinavian ‘open fire’ cooking restaurant in London

Multi-award-winning Michelin star chef Niklas Ekstedt opened his first restaurant outside of Stockholm in 2021. Ekstedt at The Yard focuses on Scandinavian ‘open fire’ cooking techniques using the very best seasonal British ingredients.
Jackson Daly worked with Niklas on the identity design for the restaurant. The chosen concept fused a juniper tree branch which is core to his cooking with the initial “E”. Menu designs and text layouts were intentionally simple, honest and unpretentious.
