56 Avenue Diner
The new American Diner at the Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya offers burgers and other classic dishes from the USA. Knowing many young Saudi’s will finish their education in USA, Jackson Daly prepared a creative story they might recognise.
Chrome trims and mouldings in the restaurants interior form the inspiration for the logo. The logo has 2 forms: The number ‘56’ used alone brands the diner as a destination on the Avenue. A second iteration of the logo has horizontal lines that extend either side, allowing the logo to traverse literature and hold the “Avenue Diner” name.
The typographic style borrows from the Mid-Century modern movement, characterised in the U.S. by organic, clean, simple lines and forms.
