Mid-weight Wayfinding Graphic Designer

Location : Leeds
Salary : Undisclosed
Level : Midweight
Type : Full Time

Introduction

Jackson Daly is a leader in luxury graphic and signage design with clients across the high-end hospitality, residential and entertainment sectors. Thanks to some exciting recent project wins, we need to expand our wayfinding and signage practice in the heart of Leeds, UK.
We are seeking an experienced mid-weight wayfinding designer to join on a full-time, permanent basis. Based at our Leeds studio, you will be working alongside the dynamic Northern team daily, while remaining well-connected to our London office.
You will be part of a small but mighty multi-disciplinary creative group, working together to develop wayfinding strategies and signage designs that capture our client’s ambitions. As our projects are based in the built environment, a background within this sector is essential. Our projects are global, with the majority in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Alongside the Directors and design team, you will be working on wayfinding projects from the initial concept and research phase through to detailed drawing and delivery. Each project requires an understanding of space, place and the ability to develop navigational solutions for a range of users. No two of our wayfinding projects are the same, so your day will be varied as you work on a range of projects across unique global locations.
Ideally, you will be an expert in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, with strong graphic design skills, especially typography and layout, combined with a knowledge of signage location planning and scheduling.
We’re seeking someone with excellent communication skills, both online and in person. You are expected to be a leader to the more junior members of the team.
